The International Institute of Development Studies was first established in
Calcutta, India in 1990 as a multi – Disciplinary non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cooperation in research among academics around the world and also to providing the academic community with a platform for discussion of various issues affecting the global community. In pursuance of these objectives, the IIDS, among its other activities, organizes bi – annual International conferences on development issues in various cities around the world in collaboration with an institute in the host country. IIDS conferences have received wide acceptance by and
acclaim from the global academic community.
The IIDS is an internationally known research institute and is proud to organize the prestigious IIDS conference in Kolkata in collaboration with its joint venture Partner IIMS
Calcutta. All future activities of IIDS – IIMS joint venture in areas of organizing workshops training programmes for different professional groups; of undertaking consultancy works viz Project works on behalf of Government, International Organizations, Private Sector Organizations, offering Ph.D. programmes and organizing other
international conferences and other ongoing research activities will be posted on the IIDS conference website. |
